GPU Mining Rig
Depending on what cryptocurrency you plan on mining you will need some cryptocurrency mining equipment. The main component in a GPU mining rig is of course the graphics cards. You will need Graphics Cards (GPU’s) with 6GB+ VRAM if you plan on mining Ethereum this is because the DAG file for Ethereum currently takes up over 4GB of the graphics cards VRAM. If you are mining another POW cryptocurrency such as Ergo or RavenCoin 4GB GPUs will be able to mine.
When it comes to choosing a motherboard for mining you will need a motherboard that supports over 4G encoding and enough PCI-e expansion for your graphics cards. If your motherboard does not have enough PCI-e slots you can use a PCI-e extender.
